Apple iPhone closes the generation gap!

Steve Wozniak and Gary Wozniak + iPhones
I don't remember exactly how we can up with this last night. But looking at it now, I think the result is actually better than I remembered it being last night. The photo of Steve was taken with Gary's iPhone and provided the inspiration for the photo of Gary (taken from a Treo, one of those other not so smart phones that apparently can't do anything that the iPhone can do in the commercials).

Video: Trojan Nuclear Power Plant Cooling Tower Implosion

Original video location

From Wikipedia Article:

"Trojan Nuclear Power Plant is a decommissioned pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plant in Rainier, Oregon, USA, and the only nuclear power plant to be built in Oregon. After only sixteen years service it was closed by its operator, Portland General Electric, almost twenty years before its design lifetime.

The iconic 499 foot tall cooling tower was demolished via dynamite implosion at 7:00 AM on May 21, 2006. This event marked the first implosion of a nuclear cooling tower in the U.S."

The Pitch Drop Experiment- The longest continuously running lab experiment

In 1927 Professor Parnell heated a sample of pitch and poured it into a glass funnel with a sealed stem. Three years were allowed for the pitch to settle, and in 1930 the sealed stem was cut. From that date on the pitch has slowly dripped out of the funnel - so slowly that now, 72 years later, the eighth drop is only just about to fall.
