Exploring Genes for Clinical Application
Divisional research continues to focus on intra-programmatic and inter-programmatic clinical and translational human genetic investigation. Faculty collaborate with colleagues throughout The Ohio State University Medical Center and the world.
Research is in collaboration with patients and their families seen in the clinic to (a) identify and characterize genes that cause susceptibility to inherited syndromes, (b) determine their role in sporadic carcinogenesis and other disease processes, and (c) perform molecular epidemiologic analyses as they might relate to future clinical applications.
