They can balance stuff on their noses!

No food the night before, or the day of getting spayed, then overnight stay, now shes at home again where she belongs. Last night was the first night since I got her in November that I haven't had her next to me, I am kind of attached.

This year is flying by so fast.

She is better at balancing stuff on her nose though.

Tuxie got her last set of puppy shots at the end of January, and she has been going to the dog park ever since. She is really social, likes the agility obstacles, and really submissive. Her is a video from her second day at the dog park.

Tuxie is getting bigger, but I think her ears are keeping up with the growth of the rest of her body. Her crate has grown also to keep up with her. It was basically the biggest one that fits in the trunk of my car when it collapses. The brand of both her crates are the same, I was happy with the quality of the first and the second has not disappointed either.

This second video isn't quite as funny at first but shows more of her dedication to acting. I think it is more impressive than the first video of her playing dead. At four months old, I think her tricks are pretty good.

This is the first of two playing dead videos. She can play dead on her back or on her side. Her tall is still a bit of a wild card. In this case I had to shoot her twice.

She still can't make it up on to the the bed from the floor though.

Tuxie definitely outshines the rainbow in my eyes.

Maybe she wants to be a hunting dog?

From the day she came home, I've tried to crate train Tuxie. She seems to love her crate, and will go in it when she is tired or bored.

The first time I played with Tuxie at the pound, I threw a tennis ball across the little pen attached to the outside of the building. I didn't expect the little puppy to hop over, pickup the ball which barely fit in her mouth and bring it back to me. She was only trying to impress me I guess because she doesn't seem to care about the ball when other dogs are around. Stay tuned for some videos of her favorite tricks.

Tuxie has not met a dog or person that she does not like playing with.

Given that she is a puppy and she still has her baby teeth, she likes to chew on things and people.

This was her first time eating out of her new Buster Cube a few days ago, some people say it keeps their dogs busy for hours, but even on her first time, it took Tux less than 15 minutes to figure it out and empty it on the easiest setting.

I couldn't resist putting the hand-me down hoodie sweatshirt on her. She definitely loves the snow.

I took Tuxie to a field to run. Since she has not had all her puppy shots yet, I try and keep her away from places where she comes in contact with unknown dogs or other animals. She is definitely fast. Still not exactly sure what her breed mix is, have my own ideas and opinions which some tend to agree with, but I think I will do some more research.

I know it hasn't been long enough since her last bath (the day she came home), but the shampoo is mild, she was pretty dirty and it is Thanksgiving! I promise to hold back next time and wait a bit longer.

Tuxie learns fast, sometimes too fast. She copies other dogs almost immediately. The dogs that she socializes with are house trained and it seems to have rubbed off on her. She also has learned how to sit, lay down and we are working on perfecting roll over now.

As you can see Tuxie loves playing with her new friends.

We named her Tuxie, and she is about 3 months old according to her paperwork. Since she isn't even close to 4 months old yet the animal control people said she won't be taken to the vet to be spayed before she can be taken home. I wasn't expecting to get her home until next week!
